It's Lance! I'm sharing an idea I've been working on that I felt would resonate with other community builders and connectors.

I know firsthand how overwhelming it is to run a thriving community — events, onboarding, communication, intros, mastermind groups. The work is meaningful, but the ops can be a grind.

So I built Mashy, an AI assistant to take the busywork off your plate.

Here's how Mashy has saved us hundreds of hours over the last few months.

📅 Automated Event Creation

In this demo Mashy with just a simple prompt:

  • Stages event settings, descriptions, titles
  • Adjusts Descriptions and event settings based on presets we defined previously
  • Accurately creates event links, google calendar invites, and drafts the event in our online community

🤝 Introductions

Mashy facilitates 3-5 introductions for all new members in Startup Village (About 20-50/week). After a new member fills out information in onboarding, my software identifies 3-5 individuals in the community based on their interests, goals, and background and drafts tailored introductions directly to my inbox for me to read and approve.

NOTE: All intros were prepared as a draft in my inbox and read/endorsed before we sent them out to the recipients. However we can easily set it up so it autosends if thats what you like.

Since using Intros

  • Churn is down 70%
  • Our net promoter score has increased from 55 to 70.
  • Event attendance is up 20%.
  • Around 60% of introductions lead to conversations within three weeks.

Right now, it's built on top of Airtable, but we can easily connect it to your existing systems or customize the setup to match your current tools and workflows.
